Steam sales, festivals, your discounts and payouts on one timeline.

SteamStats puts Steam's seasonal sales and festivals, your own discounts and launch date, discount cooldowns and Valve payouts on one timeline of the next 60 or 90 days. It marks which Steam events each game can join and when Steam's 30 days between discounts allow the next one.

The demo game's timeline: Steam events, its own discounts, payouts and the discount cooldown.

Pebblewick, the fictional demo game, has Steam Auto-Battler RPG Fest 2026 coming up on 16 – 23 Nov, and 2 planned discounts: Black Friday −20.00% on 12 – 26 Nov, Winter Sale 2026 −25.00% (Steam) on 17 Dec – 4 Jan 2027. The Rules row shows when each discount's cooldown ends, so the next discount is not placed too early.

What you see

  • A timeline of 60 or 90 days with four rows: Steam, Yours, Money and Rules, and a Today button.
  • An agenda of the next 7 days, the next 30 days and later.
  • Past discounts, each with its change in sales against the week before, or Started at launch for a discount that began on release day.
  • Next discount: the days until a new discount is allowed, with the cooldown shown as a ring, or After launch for a game not yet released.
  • Eligible or Not eligible on seasonal sales and Next Fest, the discount depth on your own discounts, and Expected on payouts not yet confirmed.
  • A form to add a discount or a campaign with a name, game, dates and a discount depth or budget.

How eligibility and the cooldown work

  • A seasonal Steam sale is open to a game released before the sale starts.
  • Next Fest is open to a game that has not launched by the time the fest ends.
  • After a discount ends, the next one is allowed 30 days later. A discount that overlaps one of Steam's seasonal sales does not start a cooldown.
  • Themed festivals carry no eligibility mark yet, because their rules depend on the game's tags.
A product cannot be discounted within 30 days of another discount.

Where the dates come from

Steam events come from Steam's official event calendar, including the Next Fest registration deadline when Steam publishes it. Your discounts are seen in your sales and store price, the launch date comes from Steam or from you, and payout dates come from your sales months.

What it does not do

  • It does not register the game for festivals, set prices or schedule discounts in Steamworks.
  • Event dates are the ones Steam publishes. When Steam changes a date, the calendar follows at the next weekly read.

Plans

Steam events are the same for everyone. Your discounts, cooldowns and payouts come from sales data, which needs a connected Steamworks key: Indie, Studio, and Publisher.
