See when people play, and whether today is a normal day.
SteamStats records your game's concurrent players every 15 min on Indie and every 5 min on Studio and Publisher and compares the count with the usual range for the same weekday and hour over the last four weeks. You see today's curve, the busiest hours of the week, daily peaks, and how long people play.

Players today, for a demo game
When do people play?
Sun 22:00busiest hour, 262 players on average · best day Sun
Pebblewick, the fictional demo game, is busiest at Sun 22:00, with 262 players on average at that hour, and its best day of the week is Sun. A curve inside the shaded range is an ordinary day for that hour.
What you see
- Players now, with the usual range for this hour and a Below, Expected or Above label; the peak of the last day and the all-time peak.
- Players over the last day, today or yesterday, with the Usual line and the usual range.
- Busiest hours: a weekday × hour grid of average players, with the peak and the quietest hour.
- Daily peak over 7, 14 or 30 days, and the weekday profile with each weekday's busiest hour.
- With Steamworks data: typical playtime, daily active players, playtime inside the refund window, and players by region.
- The rarest achievements.
How the usual range works
The current hour is compared with the same weekday and hour in recent weeks. The usual range is a normal hour's spread, shown once there is enough history, and the Usual line is the typical level. A Saturday evening is compared with other Saturday evenings, not with a Tuesday morning.
Where the numbers come from
Concurrent players come from Steam's public player count for the game and refresh every 15 min on Indie and every 5 min on Studio and Publisher. They are not fetched before launch. Playtime, daily active players and regions come from your Steamworks reports.
What it does not do
- Concurrent players is the number playing at one moment, not the number of different people who played.
- It does not identify players or read anything from their Steam profiles.
Plans
Scheduled player counts are part of Indie, Studio, and Publisher. Radar has no scheduled refresh.
