1. Who we are
This policy covers SteamStats (steamstats.io, "we", "us"). Questions and requests go to support@steamstats.io. SteamStats is a business service and is not meant for children.
Last updated: 2 November 2026.
2. What we collect
- Account: your email address, name, organization, role and settings such as time zone.
- Sign-in: session records with IP address and browser, and the version of the Terms you accepted.
- Steam keys: stored encrypted and never shown again after you save them.
- Game data: Steam data for the games you add, and what you enter yourself, such as launch dates, prices and calendar entries.
- Billing: your plan and subscription status. Paddle holds your payment details; we never see your card.
- Support: the messages you send us and our replies.
- Website visits: a daily count per page and source. It uses no cookies, IP addresses or browser identifiers, and it cannot identify you.
Waitlist and newsletter: the email address, the optional studio, game and note, the choices made and the page the sign-up came from. We use them only to send invitations and, if chosen, the newsletter, and only after the address is confirmed (consent, Art. 6(1)(a)). They are kept until you remove them with the button on the confirmation page or by writing to support@steamstats.io.
The app also shows public Steam reviews and forum posts about your games and comparable games, with the author's public Steam name and avatar. We collect nothing that the author has not made public, and we do not contact authors or use their data for advertising. To have a review or post removed, email support@steamstats.io with a link to it.
3. Why we use it
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Running the Service, sign-in and team features | Account, sign-in, keys, game data | Contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Billing and tax records | Billing | Contract and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(b), (c)) |
| Answering support requests | Support | Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Security, fixing errors and showing public reviews about your games | Sign-in, public Steam posts | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Product news email | Account | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) |
We send product news and tips by email only if you opt in during sign-up or in Settings › Notifications; the box is unchecked by default. Every such email and every alert or report email has a one-click Unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time in Settings without affecting earlier processing. Sign-in, security, billing and support emails are part of the service and are sent regardless of this choice.
4. Aggregate data
We may create de-identified, aggregated data from game data and from how the Service is used, for example to improve forecasts, estimate revenue by tag or build benchmarks. It never contains studio, company or game names, Steam app IDs, keys or email addresses, and it identifies no one. We keep it after an account is deleted.
5. Who we share it with
- Paddle, as merchant of record, for checkout, payment, tax, invoices and refunds. Paddle's own privacy notice applies (paddle.com/legal/privacy).
- Service providers that host the Service, store data, send email and help us translate text and sort support messages, under contracts that limit them to that work. Some of them may process data outside your country.
- The members of your own organization.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, and a buyer, if SteamStats is ever sold.
We do not sell personal data.
6. Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies, to keep you signed in and to remember your cookie choice. Settings you change in the app, such as the theme, stay in your browser. We use no advertising cookies, and no analytics cookies unless you allow them. The Cookie Policy lists each cookie and storage key.
7. How long we keep it
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Account, keys, game data and support messages | While your account exists; deleted within one month after you ask us to delete it |
| Billing records | As long as tax law requires |
| Cookie choice | Six months, in your browser |
| Visit counts and aggregate data | Indefinitely; they identify no one |
8. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and Turkey's KVKK you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live. Write to support@steamstats.io; we may ask you to confirm your identity and we reply within one month.
9. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you as the law requires.
10. Changes
We may update this policy and will publish the new version here. For a material change, we tell account owners by email or in the app before it takes effect. Questions: support@steamstats.io.
